ok another poor quality image i know but i was just all over the place today

still tired from her indoors getting back late from a night out and my eldest is away to france for the week with the school and left today so a bit all over the place.

this is a cake made by Scotts brother Callum and his g/f ... looked yummy.

113:365 Salmon Cut

Partly to help out the restaurant, Livingston's in Linlithgow, and partly for my college style life, i had the opportunity to shoot some still life food.

This is - Whisky and Orange Cured Salmon, Rocket, Orange and Shallot Vinaigrette from the starter menu.

Really are nice folks at Livingstons and i can testify to the desserts being utterly awesome.

110:365 Fun with Smarties

Another still life type image, seems to be something i'm doing a lot of on here even though i'm not a big fan, just think they are easier for me to do :)

This time it's a replicant of something i seen in a previous magazine, maybe Digital SLR photography (i think).

It's Smarties in a white tube (made from a4 white paper) with a cd holder front on the top and some syringe dropped water, with a flash from hitting it from around a foot away.

I do quite like this though :)

056:365 A Right Kiwi

Today has been a pain in the bum in trying to find a shot to do, and i really wasn't sure what to try.

I was going to pick up my camera equipment and happened to pass the bowl of kiwi fruit in the kitchen.

I decided to have a go at this by slicing a bit from it, then placing it on a white lid from a tupperware box and using off camera flash on the floor flashed it from underneath.

I'm really happy with the way this looks and the colours in it.

I think some more fruit type photography like this, is something i may well try more of.

055:365 Pancakes

Nice topical image for today, being Pancake Tuesday.

Lynn spent a wee while earlier making some lovely jubbly pancakes for us all.

Had a bundle plastered with Nutella which is absolutely brilliant.

I loved them and looking forward to having some more.

I'm sure most of you looking at todays image will be going "nom nom" and rightly so.

since coming home from college ive nipped in to the school to speak to the headteacher about helping me with some work for college. Then after getting the kids and Lynn we nipped to the shops and picked up some food.

Whilst there i couldn't help but wander down the cake isle and pick up some stuff for cakes.

Just waiting on the larger sponges coming out the oven and cooling before attacking them with the icing.
